Catherine grew up in Bloomington, and has deep roots in the community. She attended Rogers, Childs, Elm Heights, University Middle School, Binford, Tri-North, North, and IU.
While in high school, Catherine and a group of friends filmed a verison of "The Three Musketeers" with equipment from BCAT (now CATS). The group was excited to film scenes in the IU Memorial Union, the then newly-renovated Monroe County Courthouse, the yet-to-be renovated West Baden gardens, and a local quarry.
Before opening her own practice, Catherine's favorite job was serving as Mrs. Carol Darling's Assistant Teacher at Honey Creek School the last year that Mrs. Darling taught there.
Catherine's hobbies include hiking, knitting, baking, gaming, home renovation, and community events. She's spent some quality time at Kleindorfer's and in crawl spaces. During her teens and twenties, Catherine spent winter weekends in Carhartts and plaid helping the family at Stafford Tree Farm, in Brown County.
She and her family attend the Unitarian Universalist Church in Bloomington where she has served as a Religious Education (R.E.) Teacher. The family enjoys getting their produce from the Core Farms CSA at Musgrave Orchard. She volunteers for her children's scouting and spends a lot of time driving them to BUGS, Kid City, Frank Southern, and Lower Cascades. She lives with her husband and their three children in the northern part of Monroe County.
